Modern Architecture

200 Hartz Avenue

Location: Danville, CA

Currently under construction, this concept of glass, cement plaster, steel, and brick is a departure from the prevalent Danville Old Town appearance. Renovation of this prominent corner gave way to the opportunity to refresh the existing one-story structure and transform it into a distinct intersection at the heart of town.

The vision for this vacant weather-beaten retail center was to create a new experience by reusing the existing structure, including all window and door openings. The design goal was to create a contemporary solution that contrasts new vertical brick and steel design features with the existing lower profile, cement plaster body.
